Griekwastad Book Wars

I must admit that I was somewhat dissapointed in both reviews that Media24, my former employer, published in Rapport and Beeld/Volksblad/Die Burger. The fact that they compared my book with another book that was written by one of their employees and that was published by one of their own companies is somewhat unsettlting. But its not for me to throw stones, so I'm glad that someone else picked up on it and wrote this very interesting piece:

Yes must admit, I do agree. I don't think it was necessary at all to do a comparison between your book and Charne Kemp's. I must admit I did not read her book and simply because I had already read yours. So suppose some people may have picked her book up first, read it then not yours. The facts are all the same just maybe a different style. I think to do the comparison was a bit silly and maybe a money making strategy on the part of publishers. It's just my opinion.

Just wanted to say I read both and I much prefer yours. While her book focused on trying to make this all sound like a fiction novel yours reported on the facts in much more detail. Your book made me feel like I was there and as a legal professional your book was wel written.
